Fundashon Mariadal is not just any healthcare organization, but a vibrant and dynamic healthcare organization on beautiful Bonaire! In this unique mix of Caribbean and Dutch influences, we strive for nothing less than top quality in care and service at a European Dutch level. With more than 650 dedicated professionals, we offer a wide range of healthcare services, from inpatient to outpatient, from ambulatory care to care at home. Our employees are the backbone of medical care on the island, and we are always looking for new talent to strengthen our team!
What you will do
As Pharmacy Team Leader, you lead and direct the community, outpatient and hospital pharmacies of Fundashon Mariadal. You are responsible for well-organized, integrated and future-proof pharmaceutical patient care and services, in close consultation with the pharmacists' professional group and the Care Coordinator.
You are not involved hands-on in daily operations, but you have sufficient professional knowledge to substantiate, direct and optimize policy, processes and choices. The position is carried out in a complex work environment that requires specialized expertise.
You report to the pharmacists' professional group, with the frameworks set in consultation between the professional group and the Board of Directors. You lead employees within the various pharmacies and act as the first point of contact.
Business operations
You ensure integrated planning and delivery of care and services within and between the pharmacies. You coordinate work with internal and external partner organizations and are responsible for the efficient deployment and scheduling of employees. You achieve agreed qualitative and quantitative objectives and contribute to the annual budget, budget management and staffing plans.
In addition, you take care of SLAs with external partners, periodic reports on results and forecasts and the implementation of established pharmacy and FM policy. You monitor quality, safety and working according to protocols, initiate improvement and change processes and actively contribute to collaboration within the professional group. You are also involved in recruitment and selection, including conducting job interviews.
Leadership
You direct and coach employees within the applicable personnel and organizational frameworks. You contribute to a safe, stimulating and learning work climate and promote collaboration, ownership and professional development. You assess performance, do not avoid difficult conversations and monitor workload and team dynamics with an eye for sustainable employability.
Policy development and innovation
You advise and coordinate with the professional group, care coordinators, the Board of Directors and other parts of the organization on developments in the field. You contribute to activity plans, annual plans and multi-year policy, initiate quality improvement activities and innovation paths and contribute to change processes and projects within the pharmacies and across FM.
What you bring
You have a relevant bachelor's degree, supplemented by specialized further education (preferably in management), and several years of work experience in the field, preferably in a community or hospital pharmacy. In addition, you have knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, procedures and guidelines and insight into business operations, change processes, budget management and project-based work.
You also have strong leadership and coaching skills, work in a planned and structured way and are communicative, honest and persuasive. You know how to motivate, connect and develop employees.
What we offer you
In the position of Care Team Leader, you receive a salary within Job Group 55, ranging from $3,795 to $5,550 gross per month for a 40-hour work week. In addition to your salary, you receive additional benefits, such as a pension plan, a 13th month, vacation allowance and 25 vacation days per year based on full-time employment.
If you come from outside Bonaire, we offer you a relocation package. This includes a contribution to moving costs, tickets for you and your family if applicable, and housing for the first two months. In addition, FM offers a Papiamentu course so you can quickly become familiar with the local language, and you are eligible for an annual Vitality Budget.
We also ask of you
- A Certificate of Conduct (VOG);
- A medical examination for admission to the pension fund.
