Unite in Care is the partnership of employers in the healthcare and social care sector in the Caribbean Netherlands.
Together we form a strong network dedicated to a sustainable and attractive labor market.
We support the sector with up-to-date knowledge and development opportunities, research and insights, and we encourage regional collaboration.
In this way, we improve the working situation of employers and employees and safeguard the quality and continuity of care on the islands.
Collaboration as a starting point
Unite in Care grew out of the joint development of the first BES Healthcare CLA. For the first time, employers and unions on Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba made joint agreements on employment conditions within the healthcare sector.
With this CLA, an important step was taken toward one shared employment conditions policy for the islands of the Caribbean Netherlands. A long-standing ambition has now become reality.
The collaboration around the CLA showed that working together is necessary to address the challenges in healthcare, now and in the future. From this shared foundation, Unite in Care was created: a place where parties continue to work together on a strong and future-proof healthcare and social care sector in the Caribbean Netherlands.
