Are you ready for a challenging role in our Maternity department? We are looking for an Obstetrics & Gynecology Nurse and would like to welcome your energy, enthusiasm and expertise to our team!

What you will do

As an O&G Nurse, you assist the midwife and/or gynecologist with births in the hospital, both for medical indications and for primary care births. You guide the mother, baby and family during the postpartum period, including when more intensive care is needed. You prepare for births by checking and completing data and you ensure an up-to-date care plan.

During and after the birth, you perform nursing procedures on the instructions of the midwife or physician, such as inserting an IV line, catheterization and connecting and monitoring a CTG. You guide patients from admission through the postpartum period and provide information and advice on care and feeding. You support the care of the newborn and contribute to documentation, education and the development of protocols within the field.

What you bring

• You are a bachelor's level nurse with a specialization in Obstetrics & Gynecology;
• You are BIG registered;
• You have recent work experience in a Maternity department;
• You are available at short notice.

What we offer you

In the position of Nurse C, you receive a salary within Job Group 50, ranging from $3,419.00 to $4,823.00 gross per month for a 40-hour work week. In addition to your salary, you receive additional benefits, such as a pension plan, a 13th month, vacation allowance and 25 vacation days per year based on full-time employment. We offer a fixed-term contract based on 32 or 36 hours.

If you come from outside Bonaire, we offer you a relocation package. This includes a contribution to moving costs, tickets for you and your family if applicable, and housing for the first two months. In addition, Fundashon Mariadal offers a Papiamentu course so you can quickly become familiar with the local language.
