What you will do

Our Specialist Outpatient Clinic is looking, at very short notice, for an experienced and enthusiastic cardiac technician specialized in echocardiography. To support the specialists and physicians, you perform (preliminary) tests such as transthoracic echocardiograms, exercise tests and Holter monitoring. You perform echocardiography with saline contrast, transesophageal echocardiograms and dobutamine stress echocardiograms together with the cardiologist. You guide and inform patients about tests and treatments and ensure good reporting and administrative processing. You independently and carefully perform nursing and medical technical procedures and assist with higher-risk tests and treatments. With your knowledge and proactive attitude, you are an important link for patients and for the continuity and quality of care.

What you bring

• Bachelor's level education in cardiac diagnostics (in particular echocardiography), supplemented with knowledge of more complex testing techniques.
• Relevant experience in assessing complex cardiac pathology, including congenital pathology or pathology in children.
• You have knowledge of advanced equipment, automation systems and software.
• You have a proactive, flexible and independent attitude and enjoy keeping up with developments in the field.
• You communicate well in Dutch and English and deal well with cultural differences. Speaking Spanish or Papiamentu is an advantage.
• You have a patient-oriented, flexible and collegial attitude and you have tact, understanding and empathy.

What we offer you

In the position of Cardiac Diagnostics Technician you receive a salary within Job Group 50, ranging from $3,314.00 to $4,675.00 gross per month for a 40-hour work week. In addition to your salary, you receive additional benefits, such as a pension plan, a 13th month, vacation allowance and 25 vacation days per year based on full-time employment.

If you come from outside Bonaire, we offer you a relocation package. This includes a contribution to moving costs, tickets for you and your family if applicable, and housing for the first two months. In addition, FM offers a Papiamentu course so you can quickly become familiar with the local language, and you are eligible for an annual Vitality Budget.

• A Certificate of Conduct (VOG);
• A medical examination for admission to the pension fund;
• Proof of Hepatitis B vaccination and titer test;
• MRSA culture (if you have worked abroad).
