Medical Assistant

Primary Care Caribbean (PCC) is an independent general practitioners' organization that, on behalf of the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS), supports the general practices on Bonaire in expanding and developing the range of primary care services. PCC creates the conditions for collaboration between general practitioners, healthcare professionals and healthcare organizations and thereby promotes coherent, high-quality care for the residents of Bonaire.

As a medical assistant at Sentro Médiko Sùit, you are an important link within the practice. You support the general practitioners, have contact with patients from different cultures and hold consultations independently. You will join a close-knit team where collaboration and a pleasant work atmosphere are important.‍

Job description

• You feel at ease with patients and colleagues from different cultures and backgrounds. You speak Papiamentu, Dutch and Spanish. English is an advantage.
• As an organization, we find it important to build and maintain a lasting relationship of trust with our patients as a close-knit, permanent team. The work atmosphere within the team is important.
• In your own consultation hours, you perform tasks such as cervical smears and wound treatments. In addition, you support the general practice with administrative tasks, (telephone) triage and at the front desk.
• Our new colleague is preferably willing to work full-time.
