What you will do

As an Analyst in the laboratory, you are responsible for performing and interpreting specialized laboratory analyses. You safeguard the quality of diagnostics and work closely with colleagues and other disciplines within Fundashon Mariadal. In addition to the regular analyst tasks, you are also responsible for coordinating and (co-)leading the team or specific processes within the laboratory. You set priorities, monitor the progress of the work, act as a source of knowledge and point of contact, and conduct annual reviews in consultation with the lab specialist(s). You assess and interpret analysis results, develop new methods and actively contribute to improving procedures, protocols and the overall quality of the laboratory.

In addition to your work as an Analyst, you will focus on quality for about 0.4 FTE in this position, acting as backup for the quality officer. In the field of quality, you will mainly work on:

• Managing the lab quality system;
• Preparing and conducting internal/external audits and inspections;
• Analyzing deviations, carrying out risk assessments and drawing up improvement plans;
• Managing procedures, protocols and validation reports;
• Advising and training colleagues in quality awareness.

What you bring

• You have a completed bachelor's level laboratory education (HLO) or an equivalent level of work and thinking;
• Knowledge of and experience with ISO 15189 is an advantage;
• Knowledge of quality management systems and an affinity with hospital care and diagnostics;
• An affinity with managing and optimizing applications in a complex healthcare environment;
• Preferably, you have several years of work experience in the field;
• Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving attitude;
• Good communication skills and an accurate, responsible work attitude;
• A proactive and service-oriented work attitude, always with an eye for detail, improvement and effectiveness;
• You are digitally skilled and quickly master new systems;
• Flexibility, resilience under pressure and perseverance.

What we offer you

In the position of Analyst C you receive a salary within Job Group 50, ranging from $3,419.00 to $4,823.00 gross per month for a 40-hour work week. In addition to your salary, you receive additional benefits, such as a pension plan, a 13th month, vacation allowance and 25 vacation days per year based on full-time employment.

If you come from outside Bonaire, we offer you a relocation package. This includes a contribution to moving costs, tickets for you and your family if applicable, and housing for the first two months. In addition, FM offers a Papiamentu course so you can quickly become familiar with the local language, and you are eligible for an annual Vitality Budget.
